Fragrance Guide
Choosing the right fragrance can feel overwhelming with so many options available. This guide will help you understand the world of perfumes and find your perfect scent.
Fragrance Families
Floral: The most popular family, featuring notes of rose, jasmine, lily, and peony. Perfect for romantic and feminine occasions.
Oriental: Rich and warm scents with notes of vanilla, amber, musk, and spices. Ideal for evening wear and cooler months.
Woody: Earthy and sophisticated, featuring sandalwood, cedar, and vetiver. Great for both men and women seeking a grounded scent.
Fresh: Light and clean scents with citrus, aquatic, and green notes. Perfect for everyday wear and warmer climates.
Fragrance Concentration
Parfum (Extrait): Highest concentration (20–30%). Longest lasting, up to 8+ hours.
Eau de Parfum (EDP): 15–20% concentration. Lasts 6–8 hours. Most popular choice.
Eau de Toilette (EDT): 5–15% concentration. Lasts 3–5 hours. Great for daytime use.
Eau de Cologne (EDC): 2–4% concentration. Light and refreshing, lasts 2–3 hours.
How to Apply Perfume
Apply to pulse points — wrists, neck, behind the ears, and inner elbows. These warm areas help diffuse and amplify the scent throughout the day. Avoid rubbing your wrists together as this breaks down the fragrance molecules.
Choosing Your Scent
Consider the occasion, season, and your personal style. Don't rush — test a fragrance on your skin and let it develop for at least 30 minutes before deciding. Your body chemistry plays a big role in how a fragrance smells on you.
